Sanjay: Once a friend, always a friend.

I knew Sanjay in elementary school only, but I kept meeting him in Hayward whenever I'd visit. He was just that kind of guy who would remember you, and always was enthusiastic. I don't need to tell you this, everybody knows it!

I just was looking at these old school photos, 1st and 2nd grade in Mrs. Davis's class, and it really made me smile. I see many of you folks in there, too, who have been posting and reminiscing about Sanjay. You'll notice two things: Sanjay was one of only three kids to wear a tie in first grade (I was another, and so was Arun), and his hair was messed up for the second grade photo. Just goes to show Sanjay was a man of many modes, even as a kid.

But he was always friendly and kind, for all the times I met him as an adult. I'm looking forward to seeing many of you at the memorial service next Monday, so you can help me know the grown-up Sanjay a little better.
