One-of-a-Kind

Thank you for putting this blog together, Jeremy. I appreciate very much all you have done to provide many of us with information and also to pull together all of our thoughts and memories.
I really don't have many words yet. I imagine I will at some point. But at this time, I truly am still trying to comprehend what has happened. I cannot imagine that my dear, dear friend is gone. We have remained very close. No matter where I have moved over the past 20+ years, Sanjay has always made it a priority to come visit and has spent a lot of his vacation time in Seattle, then Montana and most recently flew to Hawaii to meet me and Brandy (Wertz) this past May. Whenever we are together it is as if no time has passed. We ALWAYS have the absolute best time, even doing nothing. I'm beyond grateful for every single minute we spent in person and on the phone. We talked about everything. It is a very special thing to have a friend who has known you for so long and loves you JUST AS YOU ARE. Sanjay was one of the first people, this spring, to learn that I was pregnant with my first child (he learned quickly in Hawaii when I passed on the Heineken beer when we first landed). He was already Uncle Sanjay in my mind and I was so excited for him to meet my little girl this December.
"Sayjay" you are a one-of-a-kind. You are a precious soul, a true friend, you are a bright star in so many people's lives. Your spirit is bigger than life and it always will be.
My heart is broken. All of my memories of our adventures and our most mundane times too, will be what ultimately heals my heart. I'm so very lucky to have had you as my friend.
